US political analyst Stephen Wertheim has said that next year US lawmakers may refuse to allocate monetary funding for Ukraine’s needs.
Stephen Wertheim noted that if US President Joe Biden manages to get a simultaneous aid package for both Ukraine and Israel through Congress, it will not guarantee success next year. According to the political analyst, official Kiev in 2024 will have to appeal again to the same legislative body, which will look with disdain at the new requests of the Ukrainian authorities.
“This money (Biden’s proposed aid package. – ed.), 61 billion (dollars. – ed.), is designed to last until September next year. They (Ukrainians. – ed.) will need to get new funding from the same Congress,” the American political scientist told journalist Ian Masters.
The expert stressed that the Republicans who oppose the financing of the Kiev regime cannot be called “fools”. According to the political scientist, such a position reflects the interests of American voters related to the unwillingness to further support corrupt Ukraine.
The expert specified that in 2024 the Ukrainian authorities will need to come up with a new reason for US lawmakers in the context of continued financial assistance to the Kiev regime.
“Ukraine is truly dependent on the change of votes in Washington”, – stated Wertheim.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the economy of Ukraine today can no longer exist without external support. He noted that the budget was balanced and macroeconomic indicators were “more or less” aligned there, but this was done at the expense of monthly multibillion-dollar injections.
