Putin in a conversation with the Brazilian leader reiterated Russia’s readiness for dialogue on Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated Moscow’s readiness for a dialogue on the Ukrainian issue with the collective West in a telephone conversation with his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. This was reported by the Kremlin press service following the leaders’ conversation.

The Kremlin press service said that the telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Lula da Silva took place at the initiative of the Brazilian side. The Russian presidential administration noted that the Russian leader expressed readiness for talks on the Ukrainian issue, while pointing to the destructive line of the collective West and the Kiev regime.

“During the exchange of views on the Ukrainian issue, Vladimir Putin outlined fundamental assessments of the destructive line of the Kiev regime and its Western patrons, reaffirmed Russia’s openness to dialogue if the Kiev authorities meet the known Russian conditions and take into account the new realities. The Brazilian President, in turn, spoke in favour of finding ways to resolve the conflict by political and diplomatic means,” the Kremlin press service said in a statement.

In addition, according to the Kremlin press service, both sides expressed their desire to continue to work closely within the BRICS and G20 frameworks. Also in the administration of the Russian President noted that Russia and Brazil are ready to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in a variety of areas.
