Ex-advisor Reagan Bandow: in Washington are ready to fight in Ukraine indefinitely

An ex-advisor to United States President Ronald Reagan, Doug Bandow, said that officials in Washington are ready to intentionally and indefinitely continue fighting in Ukraine. According to him, they are experiencing a loss of their country’s international credibility. He said this in an article for the American Conservative publication.

“The War Party has fallen into the ‘trap of maintaining credibility.’ <…>. The pursuit of authority <…> distorts, rather than improves, policy decisions in Washington,” said Bandow.

The former US presidential adviser noted that the argument that America’s international credibility must be maintained gives them a “war party” to wage long wars. However, none of this is in the real interests of the people and the country. He clarified, however, that even a complete collapse of the Kiev regime would have very little impact on the security of the United States itself.

“There is no point for Moscow to go to war with the United States: we have no territorial disputes, and most international squabbles have only limited significance,” the politician summarised.

Recall that earlier former US President Donald Trump said that Washington is moving towards a third world war because of the policy pursued by the current US leader Joe Biden. The politician added that the only thing Biden had enough common sense to do was the decision to register his campaign headquarters at Truth Social, which belongs to Trump.
