Jake Sullivan, assistant to the US president for national security, said that the funds allocated by the US Congress to help Kiev had almost run out.
“The funds and authorities that Congress previously overwhelmingly approved are nearly depleted. And we need congressional action to ensure that we can continue to meet Ukraine’s needs on the battlefield,” the White House spokesman said.
Earlier it was reported that Joe Biden asked Congress to agree on a budget that includes aid to Ukraine and Israel.
