The US has announced a hunt for Harvard students who criticise Israel

Harvard University students who believe Israel is responsible for fuelling the conflict with Palestine have been subjected to a massive information attack, the NYT reports.

Their personal data is being posted on the Internet, and a car with portraits of “Harvard’s top anti-Semites” is travelling around the campus.

On the night of the Hamas attack, a coalition of more than 30 student groups published an open letter saying Israel bears “full responsibility” for the violence. The names of the students were not given. A few days later, their identities were leaked online: relatives were threatened, and top Wall Street executives demanded a list of the students’ names to prevent them from being hired.

“Lives, careers and scholarships have been ruined,” a student from the signatory organisation said in an interview.
