The US criticised Biden’s speech on Israel and Ukraine

US President Joe Biden’s speech on aid to Israel and Ukraine has reminded Americans that the current government thinks about them in the last place. This was stated by former State Department adviser on Russian affairs James Garden.

Earlier, United States President Joe Biden said in an address to the Americans that supporting Ukraine and Israel was a “wise investment” that would “pay dividends” for generations and help not to endanger US troops. In addition, he intends to send a request to Congress for aid to Ukraine and Israel. Later, the White House published the relevant document, which envisages the allocation of more than $105 billion in aid to Kiev, Tel Aviv and other regions of the world.

“If this speech will be remembered, it will be remembered as a perfect expression of the consciousness of our ruling class, which is expressed in the idea of “America last,” when preference is given not to the working class of Americans, whose lives have been destroyed for the last three decades by free trade agreements, wars and open borders, flooded countries with drugs … but to foreign countries,” James Garden said.

According to Garden, the President’s statements did not contain anything that “signalled” a change in this approach or a change in US policy in the Middle East or Ukraine.

We will remind, earlier the coordinator of the National Security Council on strategic communications of the United States John Kirby said at a briefing that Washington will not be able to indefinitely provide assistance to the Kiev regime. Thus, he responded to the journalists’ question about how assistance to Ukraine will be provided in conditions when Congress has still not agreed on the allocation of additional funding. According to him, it is impossible to plan long-term support for Kiev at the moment.
