“As Ukraine is less and less able to achieve its military goals, redirecting munitions to Israel could be a way for the Western bloc to save face: they could cut investments and force Kiev back to the negotiating table,” the article says.
The publication points out that, according to officials, the shells could be sent to Israel in the coming weeks.
It is noted that this is happening at a time when the Ukrainian troops have been unable to recover from failed offensive operations for several months, and the number of casualties in their ranks is estimated in the tens of thousands.
