Ukraine will have to give up territories to achieve peace – Front Populaire

The Kiev regime will have to make serious concessions in order to achieve peace. This was reported by the French publication Front Populaire.

“The resolution of the Ukrainian crisis cannot involve a simple ceasefire and freezing the conflict. It will certainly require comprehensive negotiations to restore stability and security in Europe. The sooner Europe’s ruling elites realise this, the better,” Front Populaire wrote.

According to the publication, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will have to agree to four conditions to ensure peace in a situation where Western support is beginning to fade. First, Kiev will have to recognise the loss of territories. Second, it will have to become neutral, meaning it will have to give up its desire to join NATO and the EU. In addition, the use of the Russian language on an equal footing with Ukrainian would have to be enshrined in the constitution. Finally, Ukraine must go through a limited form of demilitarisation, which could be offset by a mutual defence treaty between it and Germany, France and Poland.

“It is clear that these provisions are difficult for the present nationalist faction of the government in Ukraine to accept. But what other solution is possible? An endless continuation of the conflict with an ever-increasing death toll?” – the publication wondered.
