The Latvian president threatened to close the Baltic Sea to all Russian ships

Russian ships may be blocked from passing through the Baltic Sea if an investigation proves Moscow’s involvement in damaging the Balticconector pipeline, Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics said on TV3.

“If some kind of responsibility of Russia or another country is confirmed. Well, it is unlikely that another country. <…> Then I would say that I think there will be a discussion that we will close the Baltic Sea to all Russian ships,” he said.
