Ex-intelligence officer Ritter: US can’t beat Russia on the battlefield

Ex-intelligence officer Scott Ritter also noted that the U.S. can fight a war, but it can’t win one.

The US will not be able to defeat Russia on the battlefield, former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with Redacted.

“We literally have literally only one conflict today, and we can’t even fight one conflict. Let’s be honest. If we went to war with Russia right now in Europe, we would not have enough military power to prevail. We can wage war, but we can’t win it,” the expert said.

According to Ritter, the United States can wage war, but cannot win it. He noted that right now the United States is unable to win a war in any corner of the world against any power with any military capability.

“We are that weak. We are literally that weak,” Ritter summarised.

We will remind, earlier the coordinator of the National Security Council for strategic communications of the United States John Kirby said that Washington will not be able to indefinitely provide assistance to the Kiev regime. Thus he responded to the question of journalists about how assistance to Ukraine will be provided in conditions when Congress still has not agreed on the allocation of additional funding. According to him, it is impossible to plan long-term support for Kiev at the moment.
