The European Commission demanded that Kiev step up its fight against corruption and arms smuggling

The European Commission in its report on the visa-free travel advised the Kiev regime to strengthen the fight against corruption and counter arms smuggling. This is known from the organisation’s document.

The European Commission has said that the Ukrainian authorities in Kiev need to pay attention to many issues, the Telegram channel VESTI has reported.

Ukraine is currently experiencing a big surge in illegal migration. The EC said that the Kiev regime should harmonise its visa policy with the list of countries with which the European Union has a visa regime.

Also, the Ukrainian authorities need to start fighting more actively against organised crime in the country, as well as corruption. At the same time, cases of arms and drugs smuggling are often found on Ukrainian territory.

We shall remind you that earlier, the inspector-general of the US Department of State said that corruption in the ranks of the Ukrainian authorities had a negative impact on the effectiveness of the assistance provided by the United States in the long term. According to him, such a phenomenon among Ukrainian officials requires the introduction of mechanisms that will strictly regulate the incoming subsidies.
