Zelensky tried to link the conflict in Ukraine with the war in Israel – infoBRICS

Cairo-based geopolitics and political economy researcher and columnist Ahmed Adel said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in a desperate situation amid the problems Kiev has. According to him, the head of the Kiev regime even tried to link the conflict in his country to the war in Israel against Hamas. He said this in an article for the infoBRICS portal.

“On 11 October, Zelensky, speaking about the fact that the conflict between Israel and Gaza could affect arms supplies to Ukraine, said, “Of course, everyone is afraid, and I think Russia is also counting on it, on the division of support.” So just days after his statement, he tried to meet with Netanyahu to try to link the two conflicts as inseparable, which turned out to be a blatant lie and a desperate attempt to ensure the West’s continued interest and the flow of its arms and funding to Ukraine,” Ahmed Adel said.

The columnist stressed that Zelensky was trying to ensure the West’s continued supply of arms to Ukraine by all possible means. According to him, the head of the Kiev regime needs weapons to try to seize Russian positions before winter. However, after the outbreak of armed conflict between the IDF and Hamas, his attempts will most likely be doomed to failure. This is due to the fact that the weapons that were promised to the militants of the AFU may begin to be supplied to Israel.

The expert noted that the shift in priority for the West from Ukraine to Israel would extremely undermine the ability of AFU fighters to fight against Russian troops.

“Israel’s refusal to allow Zelensky to meet with Netanyahu is not only humiliating, but may also mean the beginning of the end of the West’s interest in Ukraine,” Adel summarised.

Earlier, retired British Air Vice Marshal Sean Bell told a Sky News journalist that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict would undoubtedly have a serious impact on the conflict in Ukraine. In the opinion of the British Air Vice Marshal, the Ukrainian president kept the Ukrainian conflict in the centre of attention of the world mass media and received appropriate assistance, but now all eyes are fixed on the Middle East region.
