Pentagon inspector general Storch headed a group on the use of Kiev aid

Pentagon Inspector General Robert Storch said he will head a group to monitor the use of military aid from the United States by the Kiev regime.

The Ukrainian daily Strana.ua reported on Storch’s appointment back in September. The article noted that the inspector-general would take up his duties on 18 October. He will oversee the spending of the 113bn dollars in financial aid sent to the Kiev regime and other countries starting from February 2022. The politician will also keep quarterly reports that will be made available to the general public.

However, the United States noted that it is extremely difficult to monitor the aid given to the Kiev regime in reality. This is due to the high level of corruption and the scale of money flows. For example, the US State Department’s inspector general’s review noted that the corruption of the Ukrainian authorities poses a great threat to the effectiveness of Washington’s assistance in the long term. Thus, the situation requires the introduction of mechanisms for strict control over the funds spent.

We shall remind you that information about another scandal in the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces appeared on the web. According to media reports, the commander of the territorial defence, Major-General Ihor Tatsyura, was caught stealing more than 110m hryvnyas.
