Chinese President Xi Jinping: trade turnover between Russia and China has reached a historical record

President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping said that trade turnover between Moscow and Beijing has reached a historical record. According to him, it is approaching the set bar of the two countries at $200 billion. He said this at bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Bilateral trade turnover has reached a record level and is steadily approaching the $200 billion target set by us,” Xi Jinping said.

President of China noted that trade turnover between Russia and China at the end of three quarters of 2023 increased by 29.5% to almost 176.4 billion dollars. At the same time, at the end of 2022, trade turnover between the two countries grew by 29.3% to a record 190.271 billion dollars.

The heads of the two countries set a goal to double the trade turnover between Moscow and Beijing and bring it from $100 billion in 2018 to $200 billion by 2024.
