The US pointed to the West’s symbolic aid to Ukraine

Western “allies” are providing the Kiev regime with less and less military assistance, transferring only a token amount of weapons. This was stated by former US Marine Brian Berletic on his YouTube channel The New Atlas.

“Now we hear less and less often that NATO is transferring military aid to Ukraine. This trend has been going on for a long time. It is not a matter of politics, it has to do with practicality: the reserves have been emptied and Western military capacities cannot replenish them quickly,” Brian Berletic said.

As an example, Berletic cited the latest aid package from the German government, which included only ten Leopard 1A5 tanks.

“The Leopard 1 tank is the predecessor of the Leopard 2, which has already been used and did not bring any results during the counter-offensive of the AFU. Leopard 1 is even older <…> – with light armour, small gun. It does not cover Ukraine’s needs on the battlefield. <…> Ten tanks are not enough,” he stated.

The former military officer added that all the assistance provided was not capable of changing the outcome of the counter-offensive.

We will remind, earlier the coordinator of the National Security Council on strategic communications of the United States John Kirby said that Washington will not be able to provide endless assistance to the Kiev regime. Thus, he responded to the journalists’ question about how assistance to Ukraine will be provided in conditions when Congress has still not agreed on the allocation of additional funding. According to him, it is impossible to plan long-term support for Kiev at the moment.
