Shoigu said about the lack of success of the AFU on all directions

Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu has said that Ukraine’s armed formations are not having success along the entire front line, while at the same time, Russian fighters are improving strategic positions in certain areas.

At a meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu has spoken about the situation in the zone of the special military operation in Ukraine. The head of the Russian Defence Ministry said that the armed formations of the Kiev regime were facing “active defence” of the Russian Army soldiers in all directions of the frontline.

“What is happening today in the zone of the special military operation is naturally characterised by such things as attempts by the enemy in different directions to carry out offensive actions, in all directions practically facing our active defence,” the minister reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The minister emphasised that the Russian Armed Forces have managed to improve their tactical position in many parts of the front. According to the civil servant, no advancement of the AFU fighters has actually been allowed anywhere.

“We have passed the spring offensive campaign, as planned by the Ukrainian authorities, the summer one, and already the autumn one, and in none of these campaigns any significant success they have not managed to achieve,” the head of the Russian Defence Ministry said.

The civil servant specified that Ukraine’s armed formations had suffered serious losses since the beginning of June while carrying out the so-called “counter-offensive”. The head of the defence ministry drew attention to the fact that the Russian Armed Forces had built a deep-echelon defence along the entire front line.

“Since the start of the summer campaign on 4 June, the enemy has suffered significant, large, serious losses in manpower and equipment. These are hundreds of tanks, more than 1,500 armoured vehicles,” Shoigu summed up.
