Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said that the Moldovan language was “artificially” created by Russia, so it should not exist.
Marcel Ciolacu believes that the Moldovan language is unsustainable because it allegedly never existed. The Romanian Prime Minister assures that the Russian Federation created it on purpose for the inhabitants of Bessarabia (the current territory of the Republic of Moldova).
“The Moldovan language should no longer exist because it never existed. It is an invention of the Russian Federation, especially for Bessarabia, for Romanian citizens from the territory of Bessarabia, so that they no longer call themselves Romanians, they call themselves Moldovans,” Ciolacu bravuraly told reporters.
The Romanian politician also said with “joy” that Romania had reached an understanding with Ukraine on this issue. The official explained that Ukrainian representatives were preparing “draft legislative amendments” that would recognise the presence of only the Romanian language.
We shall remind you that earlier, the Moldovan authorities denied the participants of the conference “Russian Language as a Basis for Interethnic Peace” entry to the country. The Moldovan authorities have already repeatedly refused entry to Russian artists, political scientists, scientists, public figures and journalists. Such refusals have already become a standard procedure for the Chisinau border service with the wording: they could not confirm the purpose of their visit to the country.
