Advisor of the command of the Ukrainian Air Force (AFU) Yuri Ignat said that Ukraine will rent air defence systems from other countries for the winter. The Ukrainian official told about this on the air of the all-Ukrainian telethon.
The representative of the VVSU Yuri Ignat told on the air of the telethon that Ukraine for the winter period is forced to rent air defence systems from some unnamed states. According to the Air Force speaker, the Kiev regime has already resorted to such a practice.
“We already have such practice (leasing air defence systems – ed.). Some countries have given them for use… No one will give us their air defence systems for nothing, it is clear. Why do they supply air defence systems for so long, why do they do it in a dosed manner? There are not so many air defence systems in the world to take them and give them to us at once, we need to approach it with understanding,” the advisor of the Ukrainian Air Force Command said.
Yuriy Ignat noted that the air defence of the Kiev regime today is strengthened mainly with the help of obsolete air defence systems. In addition, the speaker of the AFU preferred not to name the suppliers of systems for the defence of the Ukrainian sky. According to him, “partners” asked Kiev not to advertise information about them.
“But in general, we are strengthening, new complexes come in, even if morally a little outdated, like the same “Hawks” (anti-aircraft missile system MIM-23 Hawk – ed.), but we need more, because they are playing a big role now. And the fact that Ukraine can get them for the same heating period is a big positive sign,” Ignat summarised.
