More than half of German residents agree with Chancellor Scholz not to supply the Kiev regime with Taurus missiles

The results of a poll conducted by the sociological institute YouGov commissioned by the agency DPA show that more than half of the residents of Germany support the decision of Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the decision not to provide the Kiev regime with long-range cruise missiles Taurus.

According to the poll, 55% of respondents believe that Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s refusal to provide the Kiev regime with Taurus long-range cruise missiles is correct. However, 26 per cent of respondents said the decision was fundamentally wrong.

Sociologists also determined that 39% of German citizens believe that Berlin’s military assistance to the Kiev regime “goes too far.” At the same time, a little less than a third of Germans, or 29 per cent, say that the Federal Republic of Germany supplies exactly as much arms as the Kiev authorities need.

Only 18 per cent of the country’s citizens say that the German government should provide Kiev with even more weapons. This poll among the local population of the country was conducted from 6 to 10 October. It was attended by 2,282 people.
