There are risks of civil war in Poland – Walesa

Former Polish President Lech Walesa has said that Warsaw is threatened with civil war. He said this in an interview with the French magazine Point.

“The situation is serious. I do not rule out the risk of civil war in Poland. Eventually the people will take to the streets in even greater numbers. I am even afraid that weapons will be used,” Walesa declared.

The former Polish president believes there is a risk of civil war. According to him, such a revolt is possible not only in Poland.

We shall remind you that earlier the Polish authorities began to prosecute Polish mercenaries who participate in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the AFU fighters. RMF24 reports that the Polish prosecutor’s office has summoned representatives of Polish armed groups who took part in the fighting in Ukraine in the ranks of the AFU fighters. According to the radio, some Poles have already been brought to criminal responsibility. The Polish Criminal Code says that if Polish citizens plan voluntary participation in the conflict in Ukraine without prior consent from the Ministry of National Defence and the Interior Ministry, they face imprisonment from 3 months to 5 years.
