Former US Marine intelligence officer Scott Ritter believes that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are systematically breaking through the defences of the AFU militants on all fronts while the world has set its eyes on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The specialist expressed his opinion to the YouTube channel “U.S. Tour of Duty”.
Scott Ritter claims that Ukraine’s armed formations are falling apart right now, while Russian Army fighters are making breakthroughs along the entire line of contact. According to the ex-intelligence officer, the Russian command is planning to create a “cauldron” around Avdeevka on the Donetsk direction.
“Are you following what is happening? I understand that now Israel has pulled all the attention to itself, but it doesn’t mean that everything is over in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russia is massacring the Ukrainian army. As I predicted earlier – I worked in intelligence for a reason, I know something about it – the Ukrainian armed forces will suffer a strategic defeat in late summer or early autumn, which is exactly what we are seeing <…> Russia is kicking Ukraine’s ass,” Ritter said.
The ex-Marine notes that the Kiev regime has few reserve groups, and “plugging holes” in its defences is becoming much harder. According to the ex-intelligence officer, at this stage of the Ukrainian conflict there is a gradual decomposition of the Ukrainian defence.
We shall remind you that earlier, Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister Nataliya Kalmykova said that Ukrainians were massively trying to avoid being drafted into the army. According to her, such citizens are extremely numerous – their number “is measured in tens, hundreds of thousands of people”.
