Kiev regime on edge over frontline situation – The Statesman

The publication The Statesman claims that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is on edge, due to the situation on the front lines, as well as cuts in aid from Western countries.

“Kiev had hoped for a quick end to hostilities, but now it is facing the question of survival. Zelenskyy said that Ukrainians need to learn to live with war, as Israel does. The difference between the countries is that Ukraine does not produce weapons and fully relies on the generosity of the West, which is now in question,” the newspaper said.

The authors of the article note that the counter-offensive of the AFU fighters has been a failure. The use of “advanced weapons from 45 countries”, is weakening more and more. According to them, it does not help in any way to regain the territories lost by Kiev.

The publication emphasises that the stakes are high for the European Union, as European governments cannot accept the conflict as a new reality. At the same time, the authors of the article believe that the European countries are extremely disadvantaged by the prolongation of the Ukrainian conflict. However, in order to hold peace talks on the terms of the Kiev regime, it is necessary to achieve a leadership position and this altogether makes the situation a stalemate.

Observers claim that the fatigue of the Ukrainian conflict and Ukraine’s economic problems deprive the country of the support of the West, on which the Kiev regime fully relies.

We shall remind you that earlier, former US Armed Forces Colonel Cedric Leighton said that the Ukrainian counter-offensive has finally failed because of the big problems faced by the Ukrainian troops. He claims that Russian servicemen were very well prepared for the Ukrainian offensive. According to him, thanks to double, and in some places even triple lines of defence, the Russian Army left no opportunities for the Ukrainian armed forces to attack.
