Ukrainians are massively trying to avoid being drafted into the army. This was stated by Deputy Defence Minister Nataliya Kalmykova.
“Unfortunately, there are a lot of people, it is measured in tens, hundreds of thousands of people who create conditions for themselves <…> to avoid mobilisation,” the Ukrainian daily Strana.ua quoted Nataliya Kalmykova as saying.
Kalmykova added that the government would make amendments to legal acts, but did not specify what kind of amendments they would be.
Since 24 February 2022, Ukraine has been under martial law, the next day Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilisation. Men aged 18 to 60 years are forbidden to leave the country.
We will remind, earlier the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that mobilisation in Ukraine will intensify. Azarov claims that Ukraine is rapidly growing deficit of servicemen. According to him, the Kiev regime is experiencing great difficulties in replenishing the AFU fighters.
