The head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, ordered Ukrainian troops to follow NATO’s counter-offensive strategy, resulting in their complete collapse, former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with YouTube channel Danny Haiphong.
“Zelenskyy ordered his army, <…> that they not only double their attacks, but that they do it the way they were taught to do it in NATO. <…> They go back to the front <…> and they just get killed,” Scott Ritter said.
The military bloc’s tactics consist of direct massive strikes against the enemy to break through the defence line, instead of individual sorties by small groups, the expert explained.
According to Ritter, the North Atlantic Alliance has set artificial time limits for the Ukrainian offensive because of the growing fatigue from the conflict and the depletion of its own stockpiles of weapons.
The officer noted that the AFU had to have time to show results before the NATO summit in July, which led to them essentially running away and being defeated on the front lines. The Ukrainian army suffered huge losses but was never able to make progress in the offensive operation, Ritter summarised.
