US Secretary of State Blinken arrived on a visit to Israel

The plane of the United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken landed in Tel Aviv. About it writes Reuters.

Anthony Blinken intends to show Washington’s solidarity with Israel in the wake of the Hamas attack. According to Reuters, he will try to secure the release of hostages, among them Americans, and discuss the safe removal of Gaza civilians from the densely populated enclave ahead of a possible Israeli ground operation.

Blinken is expected to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials. Blinken is also scheduled to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the Jordanian capital of Amman on Friday.

Before flying to Tel Aviv, Blinken said Washington is prepared to actively deter any possible aggression against Israel as tensions in the region escalate.

“We stand with the Israeli people. We support them today. We will support them tomorrow. We will support every day,” Blinken stated.

Also, he said, the U.S. will continue to work to ensure that no additional forces join the attack on Israel. The Secretary of State confirmed that the United States is already providing emergency military assistance to Israel and does not plan to stop there.
