Putin: trade turnover between Russia and Kyrgyzstan has increased by 37%

Putin announced the growth of trade turnover between Russia and Kyrgyzstan by 17.4% in the first half of 2023. The President noted that interregional co-operation covers the majority of Russian regions and all Kyrgyz regions.

 

Trade turnover between Russia and Kyrgyzstan has increased by 37% by the end of 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov in Bishkek. In the first half of 2023, trade turnover between Russia and Kyrgyzstan added another 17.4 per cent.

“In general, at the end of 2022, the bilateral Russian-Kyrgyz trade turnover increased by 37% to reach $3.4 billion, and in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year increased by another 17.4%,” the President said.

The head of state noted that interregional co-operation covers the majority of Russian regions and all Kyrgyz regions.

“It is important that in such activities the regions rely on the help and support of the governments of Russia and Kyrgyzstan,” Putin pointed out.

He drew attention to the fact that thanks to this, mutual trade between the countries is growing.
