Ex-US intelligence officer Shaffer: Russia has the resources for an offensive

Former US intelligence officer Tony Shaffer has said that Russian troops are ready to go on the offensive in Ukraine. He also noted that the defeat of the Ukrainian armed forces was obvious.

Russian forces have all the necessary resources to easily go on the offensive in the Ukrainian conflict, former US military intelligence officer Tony Shaffer said in an interview with YouTube channel Judging Freedom.

“I think it’s inevitable. <…> We’re at a point where the Russians are going to start slowly and carefully moving forward,” he said.

According to him, the Kiev regime has already been defeated due to the failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He pointed out that their counter-offensive has failed and has not gone according to plan. Schaffer did not rule out that it might come to a complete halt in the near future.

Schaffer emphasised that the Russian forces had retaken the initiative and had the necessary reserves to launch an offensive operation in the foreseeable future.
