The UK and its partners in the International Fund for Ukraine (IFU) will finance the shipment of more than £70m worth of air defence systems to Kiev, including the Terrahawk Paladin anti-drone system, the country’s Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
It is noted that the latest contract from the IFU’s allocated package of air defence systems has been signed.
“It will provide Ukraine with more than £70m worth of capabilities, including the MSI-DS Terrahawk Paladin, a platform capable of tracking and destroying drones,” the ministry said.
The Ministry of Defence also said that air defence assets and the £100m aid previously announced would be transferred to Kiev in the coming months.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that it was necessary to establish a regular flow of arms deliveries to Ukraine.
