The issue of supplying Belgian F-16s to Ukraine will be decided no earlier than 2025, Belgian Prime Minister Alexandre De Croy said.
“From 2025 Belgium will be in a position to deliver F-16 fighter jets directly to Ukraine. But this will depend on the government’s decision at that time,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, the plans to supply Belgian fighter jets to Ukraine were announced by the head of the Kingdom’s Defence Ministry Ludivine Dedonder.
Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren said that deliveries of F-16s to Ukraine might take place in 2024.
