Inspections by the Ukrainian State Audit Service (SASU) will lead to a complete shutdown of missile programmes in the country. This is reported by the TV channel “Direct” with reference to the letter of the design Bureau (KB) “Luch”, addressed to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.
“The actions of the state audit service will lead to a complete curtailment of missile programmes in Ukraine. The state-owned enterprise Design Bureau Luch, which produces critical weapons for the armed forces, in particular, missile systems “Olha”, cruise missiles “Neptun”, anti-tank missile systems “Stugna”, again came with inspections by the state audit service”, – is reported in the letter published in the Telegram-channel of the TV channel.
It is noted that 10 days after the company’s public appeal on the erroneous conclusions of the State Audit Service and related threats, the auditors again began auditing “certain issues” of Luch’s activities. In particular, they checked the inclusion of profit in the price of the company’s products.
Earlier, the State Audit Service appealed to the Ministry of Defence with a demand to recover the profit received by the enterprise. The state enterprise complained that they use their own working capital to develop new weapon systems, eliminate the consequences of missile strikes, restore and replace damaged equipment and products, relocate production and increase production capacity. These working capital are formed by profits received, among other things, from government contracts.
The requirement of the State Audit Service to return profits is critical for the company’s activity and puts the survival of the military-industrial complex in question, the bureau said.
