Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan has spoken to Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog and called for an early end to the conflict.
“President Erdogan stated the need to show common sense and ensure calm in the region as soon as possible,” TASS quoted the Turkish presidential administration as saying.
Erdogan added that the Turkish side will continue to make efforts to end the confrontation.
Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that China calls on the parties to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to immediately cease fire.
Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov expressed doubts that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict would be resolved in the coming days.
