Armed Forces General Milley: risk of US-Russia clash will increase in the next 10 years

The likelihood of armed conflict between the US and Russia will increase if the Russian army is victorious in Ukraine.

This opinion was expressed by General Mark Milley, head of the US Chiefs of Staff Committee, in an interview with 60 Minutes on CBS.

According to him, if Russia wins on the battlefield in the Ukrainian conflict, the Pentagon will have to significantly increase its defence budget, if not double it.

“The risk of a superpower war in the next 10 to 15 years will increase,” Milley added.

The general also called the Kiev regime’s counter-offensive “long, difficult and extremely bloody.”

Earlier, the State Department said that the conflict in Ukraine hinders dialogue with Russia in the nuclear sphere.
