Reporter Moritz Gutmann said the U.S. would require Zelensky to be willing to compromise.
It is not favourable for the White House to continue the conflict in Ukraine until next year’s US presidential election. In this regard, the US will actively urge the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to make compromises to stop the fighting, Stern magazine reporter Moritz Gutmann said on the German channel Phoenix.
“The Americans will be trying to find a solution for this conflict one way or another until next autumn. Biden will not want to go into the election with an unresolved conflict behind him. <…> I think the Americans in winter or early next year will insist that Zelensky will be ready to compromise,” he shared.
Gutmann noted that the people of Ukraine are increasingly thinking about the consequences of this confrontation. In the journalist’s opinion, the country’s authorities should have ceded territories for the sake of restoring peace.
