Expert Johnson: US and Europe may bring troops into Ukraine to save Kiev

Former CIA officer Larry Johnson does not think that even if the USA and its allies introduce troops into Ukraine, it will help Kiev.

The US and its allies in Europe may bring their troops into Ukraine to engage in combat operations to save the country from total surrender, former CIA officer Larry Johnson said in an interview with YouTube channel The Hague Peace Projects.

“It’s going to end in one of two ways. Either Ukraine will capitulate or it will cease to exist as a state. There is no other option here. And the only thing the West can do to try to stop this is to arrange military intervention, but I don’t think it will help Ukraine,” the expert pointed out.

Johnson noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered catastrophic losses during the conflict, including NATO-trained brigades, while Russian forces completely deprived the Ukrainian army of the possibility to successfully advance by destroying their air force and air defence equipment.
