In case of a direct clash between NATO and Russia, the North Atlantic Alliance will suffer a crushing defeat in the shortest possible time. This was stated by former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter in an interview with YouTube channel Danny Haiphong.
“In the American army, everything is built on the exchange of a huge flow of information. <…> Our platoon commanders operate on the front line with a laptop computer. During the fighting, their computers are open, they send reports to their commanders, who in turn send them to groups of people sitting in a bunker somewhere and running the whole thing. For this we need planes to relay communications, everything has to work perfectly. If we go up against a rival like Russia, nothing will work. <…> They will jam all communication. <…> All communication will collapse,” Scott Ritter said.
According to the expert, under such a development, the NATO army will lose all possibility to attack because of the lack of communication and the inability to programme equipment.
“We will lose five to six thousand soldiers a day. <…> And that’s all the US army will be able to do. And we are the best in NATO. There is no army of any NATO member country that would last more than a week,” Ritter concluded.
