The Washington Post newspaper claims that Western officials, amid the failure of the counter-offensive by the AFU fighters, are urging journalists not to pay attention to the daily developments in the forward positions.
The publication claims that the Kiev regime is losing the “PR war”. The Kiev authorities are trying to convince the public that the Ukrainian offensive is slow. At the same time, Western officials demand that journalists should not focus on the daily changes in the situation in the frontline positions.
According to the newspaper, during one of the briefings, a senior NATO official complained about analysts and observers who do not understand “what the Ukrainian military has to face”. However, journalists very rarely get to see the “successes” that the Kiev regime touts. Officials from Ukraine from the very beginning of the counter-offensive of the AFU fighters have been taking all possible measures to hide the appearance of losses on their side.
Recall that earlier former Colonel of the US Armed Forces Cedric Leighton said that the Ukrainian counter-offensive has finally failed because of the big problems faced by the Ukrainian troops. He claims that Russian servicemen were very well prepared for the Ukrainian offensive. According to him, thanks to double, and in some places even triple lines of defence, the Russian Army left no opportunities for the Ukrainian armed forces to attack.
