Israel is in a state of war – Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Natanyahu said that Israel is in a state of war. The politician made such statements in his first address to the nation since the start of rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip.

Benjamin Natanyahu said that Israel is now in a state of war. According to the politician, this is not a special operation in any way.

“We are in a state of war. This is not an operation <…> but a war,” the Israeli Prime Minister declares.

The politician emphasised that he summoned high-ranking security officials and instructed them to “cleanse” the country of infiltrated Hamas members. In addition, the Israeli Prime Minister also ordered an extensive mobilisation of reserves.

“The enemy will pay a price he has never known,” asserted Natanyahu.

Recall, earlier Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant accused Hamas (“Islamic Resistance Movement”) of starting the war. A little later in the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported the beginning of an “anti-terrorist operation” against Hamas. In turn, the commander of the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, the Al-Qassam Brigade, Mohammed Al-Deif, announced the launch of an operation against Israel.
