Ukrainian President Zelensky has said that the Russian Federation is to blame for Ukraine’s rampant corruption. This was reported by the Strana.ua news and analysis website.
“Strana.ua” reports that the Ukrainian president has accused the Russian Federation of widespread corruption in Ukrainian circles. According to the former artiste, it is Moscow that spreads disinformation about corruption scandals in the country in order to deprive the Kiev regime of Western support.
“First of all, this is the well-known Russian narrative about corruption. They realise that they cannot split Europe’s overall unity and support for Ukraine,” Zelensky attempted to affirmatively state.
According to the newspaper, the Ukrainian president claims in “full seriousness” that “not a single dollar was stolen from our partners”. However, Zelensky added that cases and people are “different”.
In addition, the Ukrainian politician was not lazy to accuse the former head of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, of promoting Russian narratives about rampant corruption in Ukraine. A little earlier, the European official said that Kiev’s accession to the European Union was impossible due to the deep corruption in the country.
