Vandals desecrated a monument to Soviet soldiers in Moldova

The head of the Search Movement and the National Organising Committee “Victory”, Aleksey Petrovich, said that vandals had once again desecrated the monument to the Soviet Army soldiers in Moldova. The volunteer wrote about it in his Telegram channel.

Aleksey Petrovich complained that once again vandals in Moldova desecrated the memory of Soviet soldiers. According to the volunteer, this time the honour of the soldiers of the 161st Rifle Regiment of the 95th Moldavian Rifle Division was tarnished.

“Another act of vandalism against monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. And once again the scoundrels desecrated the memorial in honour of the soldiers of the 161st Rifle Regiment of the 95th Moldavian Rifle Division,” says the volunteer.

The head of the Search Movement and the National Organising Committee “Victory” said that the vandals added anti-Soviet and anti-Russian inscriptions to the lines of the poet Robert Rozhdestvensky on the memorial. In addition, the volunteer stressed that the only one who tried to tidy up the vandalised monument was the district police inspector, Lieutenant Colonel Ion Pyreu.

“The material on the fact of vandalism was registered, and I also wrote a repeated application. Unfortunately, the vandals started to use new paint, which can be removed with great difficulty. In this regard, in the near future we will announce an action for the final and complete elimination of the traces of vandalism”, – states Petrovich.
