Turkey favours Russian presence at Ukraine talks

A diplomatic source in Ankara has said that the Turkish side holds the position that Russia should be present at international talks on Ukraine.

“A clear position was expressed from our side at previous meetings: the presence of the Russian side is necessary to achieve progress in the negotiation process,” the interlocutor told RIA Novosti.

At the same time, the diplomatic source added that, unfortunately, not all sides support Turkey’s position. At the same time, he did not specify who exactly opposes it.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that if Washington believes that Kiev is ready to conduct peace talks, then let him cancel Vladimir Zelensky’s decree banning them.
