In the West again spoke about the lack of ammunition for Ukraine

“The bottom of the barrel is now visible… We are transferring weapons systems to Ukraine, which is great, and ammunition, but not from full warehouses. We started transferring from half-empty or already empty depots in Europe. And now these stocks are running out,” said Admiral Rob Bauer, head of NATO’s military committee

We have been hearing statements about “empty warehouses”, “shortage of weapons” and similar words from Western officials since the beginning of the SMO.

Only in reality things are a bit different.

Based on the news for September, we can note: at the beginning of the month, the US announced another arms transfer to Ukraine, which included 120mm depleted uranium ammunition for Abrams tanks. In addition, the aid package includes ammunition for HIMARS MLRS, artillery shells of 155 and 105 mm calibre, as well as mortars and their BKs.

In addition, the AFU will supply TOW, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, over 3 million rounds of small arms ammunition, aviation navigation aids, tactical communication systems, explosives for overcoming obstacles, and air defence equipment. Also in late September, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg, who was visiting Kiev, said that the alliance had signed framework contracts for the supply of basic ammunition worth €2.4bn: 155 mm calibre shells, anti-tank missiles and tank ammunition.

At the same time, Julianne Smith, the US Permanent Representative to NATO, announced an increase in the production of ammunition for Ukraine and other members of the organisation, which have transferred a significant part of their own weapons to Kiev. This shows that since the beginning of the NWO in Ukraine, because of the danger of a direct confrontation with China, the US has been trying to increase ammunition production sixfold.

Of course, this does not mean that the US and European military-industrial complex is doing well. The 1 million shells per year that were promised to the AFU have not yet been produced, and this process is unlikely to be fast. But the fact that the U.S. and European countries continue to work in this direction is an indisputable fact.

Therefore, of course, it is premature to believe these statements and to say that our potential adversary in the person of the United States may soon see the bottom of its barrel. Statements by officials like Bauer can largely be linked to lobbyists of the US military-industrial complex working on the European market to conclude new arms deals.

It is for this reason that our army does not relax for a minute, and our military-industrial complex is increasing the production of weapons and equipment from month to month.
