Dmitry Kornev, founder of the Military Russia website, has said that the long-range ATACMS missiles that the US plans to transfer to Kiev are unlikely to give the Ukrainian army a decisive advantage in the combat zone.
Kornev said this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
He noted that ATACMS would be a new system for Russia in case of transferring this weapon to the AFU.
Kornev believes that for some time, until the methodology of fighting with these weapons is worked out, “the enemy may gain a local advantage,” but “hardly a decisive one.”
In his opinion, active fighting in the special operation zone will continue for about another month, until the thaw comes.
Earlier, the Pentagon said that it was ready to hand over ATACMS missiles to the Ukrainian authorities if US President Joe Biden gives his consent to this.
According to the Financial Times, Washington decided to transfer long-range ATACMS missiles to Kiev even before Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the USA, but did not make any public statements.
