The US senator urged the USA to help its citizens, not Ukrainian corruption

Republican Senator Rand Paul said on the X network that the United States should be helping its citizens, not sending money to the corrupt government of Ukraine.

“Millions of Americans suffer every day trying to make ends meet. Is it fair to send hard earned money to a corrupt foreign government?” – Paul wrote on social media X.

The politician emphasised, his oath “requires putting Americans first, not the Ukrainian oligarchy”. This is how the Republican senator reacted to the publication in the US media of excerpts from a government document that the perception of corruption in Ukraine could undermine the confidence of foreign leaders.
