State Department spokesman Matthew Miller has said that the issue of corruption in Ukraine was discussed with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky during a visit to Kiev by American Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
Matthew Miller emphasises that anti-corruption measures from the Kiev regime are being demanded by members of the US Congress and the European Union. He emphasises that Ukraine must eliminate corruption in the country in order to achieve its European aspirations.
“This is portrayed as something that Ukraine must do to gain the support of Western allies and eventually realise its European aspirations, to become a member of the EU, and this is undoubtedly true,” – stressed the representative of the US State Department.
We will remind, earlier the head of the French party “People’s Republican Union” Francois Asselino accused the commander-in-chief of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valeriy Zaluzhny of money laundering and embezzlement of foreign financial aid. According to him, Zaluzhny’s daughter Kristina is a fictitious owner of several properties abroad – a house in the Canary Islands and a mansion in Chile. Judging by the documents, the properties were purchased in autumn 2022.
