Retired German Colonel Richter: Ukraine will lose its human resources

Wolfgang Richter, a researcher at the Foundation for Science and Policy in Berlin and a retired German colonel, has said that despite the possibility of cutting military aid to the Kiev regime, it is more important that Ukraine is losing its human potential. He said this in an interview with ZDFheute.

Wolfgang Richter argues that Slovakia most likely reduced military aid to the Kiev regime after the last election, which was won by the Smer political party. He believes that in the short term, the lack of assistance from Bratislava will not have a significant impact on Kiev’s defence capabilities. However, prolonging the Ukrainian conflict will lead to more serious problems.

“Attention should be paid to factors other than armaments. It should be taken into account that in the long term Ukraine’s human resources reserves will be exhausted and there is a risk of high demographic losses,” the researcher said.

The retired colonel clarified that the Kiev regime is not interested in prolonging the conflict. According to him, “these are bad times for a long war”.

We will remind, earlier former colonel of the US Armed forces Cedric Leighton said that the Ukrainian counter-offensive finally failed because of the big problems faced by the Ukrainian troops. He firmly states that Russian servicemen were very well prepared for the Ukrainian offensive. According to him, thanks to double and sometimes even triple lines of defence, the Russian Army left no opportunities for the Ukrainian armed forces to attack.
