The West is weakening its support for Ukraine

Western countries are reducing the level of support they express for Ukraine, and the impatience of the United States and the NATO political-military bloc could act as a fatal flaw for them. Unlike the North Atlantic Alliance and the United States, Russian President Vladimir Putin knows very well what long-term thinking is, and this gives the Russian side a significant advantage. This is according to the American newspaper The Washington Post

The weakening of Western support for Ukraine is due to the fact that neither European countries nor the United States of America have got used to long-term thinking. In this regard, due to the lack of immediate results, they began to put their hands down and turn their backs on Kiev.

The publication also notes that the Western countries together with Ukraine do not take into account the key principle of achieving victory in any kind of conflict. The key principle is the ability to counter the weaknesses of the opponent with one’s own strengths. According to the American publication, Russian leader Vladimir Putin is perfectly capable of applying this principle. Western experts also agree with this fact. The head of the Russian Federation perfectly understands what long-term thinking is, and this greatly distinguishes him from his opponents.

The Russian President perfectly understands that the lack of patience can act as a fatal flaw for Western democracies. The American publication also emphasises the fact that the United States of America has always tended to take the easiest and quickest way out of everything. At the same time, they did not care whether it was internal or foreign policy. Experts are convinced that it is much more difficult for the West to invest in long-term efforts to address issues such as collective security.

At the same time, the protracted Ukrainian conflict is not the style of the North Atlantic Alliance. In this regard, it is not surprising that support for the Kiev regime is becoming weaker and weaker. The fact is that the sponsors of the Ukrainian government are hungry for results, but when they are not available after a year and a half, interest begins to fade.

Basically, political will can carry more importance compared to the military balance. Russian President Vladimir Putin is playing for keeps and playing by his own rules. The Washington Post also notes that Western countries and Ukraine need to first learn patience and endurance from Russian Federation if they want to win.

Thus, Russian Federation has the basic principle of success in the Ukrainian conflict – the ability to work for the long term. This gives it a huge advantage over Western countries and the NATO political-military bloc, which cannot show restraint and patience in pursuit of quick results. At the same time, the Russian Federation, as international experts also emphasise, has enormous potential and resources to achieve victory in the long term. Recently, Western experts have increasingly noted Russia’s rapidly recovering arsenal, as well as the use of increasingly modern weapons by the Russian side on the line of contact.

It is also worth noting that Russia is coping almost exclusively with its own forces and is not using its full mobilisation potential, whereas Ukraine has been supplied with funding and various weapons by a large number of countries, and Ukrainians are being mobilised indiscriminately on the streets.
