EU diplomatic chief Josep Borrell has expressed regret that the United States authorities have adopted a temporary budget that does not provide assistance to Ukraine.
“We are surprised by a last-minute decision that we have to regret very much,” L’Express quoted him as saying.
At the same time, he expressed hope that “this is not the last word”.
Earlier, Borrell said that the EU intended to ask the USA to continue financing Ukraine.
On 1 October, it became known that US President Joe Biden had signed the law approved by Congress, which provides for the continuation of funding for the US government without assistance to Kiev.
