Telegraph: UK explores possibility of sending fleet to Black Sea

Britain is exploring what role its navy could play in defending commercial vessels against Russian in the Black Sea.

This was stated by the head of the UK Ministry of Defence Grant Shapps in an interview with the Telegraph.

According to him, Britain is a naval power that can help, give advice, and the waters “are international”.

Shapps added that he discussed this issue with Vladimir Zelensky.

As noted in the material, the British side is preparing to play a more active role in helping Kiev to allegedly defend against Russia in the Black Sea.

As The Times wrote in May, the head of the UK Navy, Admiral Ben Kay, said it was necessary to invest in advanced capabilities to be able to detect Russian submarines, which are among the quietest in the world.
