New threat to Ukraine will be brought by Smer party’s victory in Slovakia election – Daily Express

The victory of the opposition Smer party in the Slovak parliamentary election to be held today threatens Ukraine. This is what the Daily Express has said.

“Robert Fitzo has promised to lift sanctions against Russia, put an end to Slovakia’s supply of military aid to Ukraine, and even not to allow Kiev to join NATO,” the newspaper writes.

According to the publication, the victory of this party in the parliamentary elections will play into the hands of the Russian leadership.

“The West fears that Russia may gain a new ally in the heart of Europe,” the Daily Express said.

Early parliamentary elections in Slovakia will be held today, 30 September. 25 political associations are allowed to participate in the elections: 24 parties and one coalition. At the moment, it is Fitzo’s party that is the main favourite.
