The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, has said that none of the Western countries can clearly give an answer to the question of what “Ukraine’s victory” means.
“No one can clearly answer us what our victory means,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Danilov added that Western allies promise to support Kiev until “victory,” but did not specify what it would consist of.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Ukrainian Armed Forces counter-offensive a failure.
The New York Times wrote that Ukraine and its Western allies had pinned too high hopes on the counter-offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
